Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar (formerly known as College of Engineering, Sakharale) was started in 1983. Located near Islampur, 7 kms away from Peth Naka off Pune -Bangalore highway, RIT has a green beautiful campus of 17 hectares and buildings on it measuring 54,000 sq.m. RIT has emerged as a leading technological Institute in Western Maharashtra through its dedicated and disciplined approach to provide quality technical education over a period of more than thirty seven years.

LIBRARY
The RIT Central Library with its state-of-the-art building, hardware, software and other allied resources is fast developing into one of the finest institutional libraries in Western Maharashtra. Its inviting architecture provides an ambiance that is relaxed but modern; and space that is large yet intimate. The resources available include books on an impressive array of subjects, course-specific reading material, academic journals and various digital resources. It houses sufficient reference and reading material for students and faculty from multiple disciplines.
RIT central library has a good collection of 1,08,436 + volumes, 39,257 + titles as well as 7254 e-books, of all engineering disciplines and management department, includes more than 8451+ reference books, 416 Standards. It includes extracurricular and competitive examination books such as GATE, TOFEL, and MPSC etc. Its total investment of Rs. 5.05 crores.
The Central Library invested 6.26 lakhs for subscribing more than 183 print journals of engineering and management.
It is also subscribed ASCE, ASME, Science Direct, Tailor and Francis Engineering and Management, IET, Delnet E-Journals databases. Its subscription cost is more than 23.03 lakhs.
Library Automation:
The Library is fully automated using e-Granthalaya (3.0) software. E-granthalaya is a class Integrated library system with comprehensive functionality including the basic and advanced option. All circulation process is done by barcode. The bibliographic information about the collection is made available through web OPAC.

CENTRAL COMPUTING FACILITIES
The Institute has a well- developed Central Computing Center. The Center extends all support for computing services. 115 i5 machines, 33 licensed software’s and allied equipment’s make it a resourceful node of service. The center has developed several software’s thus computerizing all major processes and services like admission, student records, accounts, central stores, payroll, hostel, attendance and results processing.
It also looks after the hardware and software maintenance, Wi-Fi Campus wide networking, Website development and Round the clock internet facility of 1500 Mbps.
